The Artist
Pablo Iglesias Prada (Ciañu, 1974) is, above all, a painter. Although his academic background lies in illustration, design, and audiovisual language, his artistic practice has been forged through painting. His work does not seek visual comfort, but confrontation. Through a restrained palette, glazes, and layered textures, he records instinct, tension, and the weight of thought. His paintings explore the darkness that inhabits us: fears, impulses, and contradictions that silently shape the human experience.
Using raw symbolism and an uncompromising visual language, Prada transforms the act of looking into a challenge. His work invites the viewer to confront uncomfortable truths and recognise, face to face, the shadow they inhabit.
